Capacity building program aimed at improving the safety and quality of vegetables using a value chain approach through training for local farmers, processors and traders (FFS, FBS) on off season tomato and chayote (Son La province), tomato and cabbage (Lam Dong province), gherkin and cherry tomato (Hung Yen province);
Promotion of market opportunities for specific vegetables grown in Vietnam with more attention given to the development of demonstrations/models of leaf/fresh vegetables, which satisfy SPS requirements for safe and high quality products for markets in big cities and industrial zones, thereby establishing a quality and safety control system for fresh vegetable products, and establishing and promoting trademarks for selected products in project sites; and
Improving market linkages between producer organizations and domestic and international markets via workshops, meetings, field days, trademark setting up, market accessibility.
