The overall objective of the project was to improve the productivity of milk and beef by improving cattle artificial insemination techniques.
Its immediate objectives included improving artificial insemination techniques for cattle through the use of straw semen, expecting to increase rate of AI by straw type frozen semen and reproduction performances of dairy cattle. NIAH/MAIC was also expected to manage AI information including recording, collecting, analyzing and utilizing
The project's expected outputs were the improvement in the training and skills of AI technicians; improvement in the handling and quality control skills on the frozen semen distribution network; improvement in the production techniques of straw type frozen semen; and improvement in the feeding and management of series.
