The project included the rehabilitation of 2,100m of the main canal, and the construction of 2 cross drainage structures and an outlet structure. Around 1,358 households in the region benefited from better access to the irrigation water. The assistance was aimed at protecting vulnerable individuals from such factors as poverty and misfortunes that directly threaten their lives, livelihood, and dignity, as well as at promoting self-reliance of local communities.
