The project aimed to formulate a master plan on irrigation and drainage in order to improve the water management and agricultural productivity in four target river basins, as well as a detailed plan for selected priority areas in each river basin. It also sought to transfer of the technologies to the counterpart personnel through on-the-job training in the course of the study.
