The project intended to provide emergency assistance to Cambodia by introducing the parasitoid Asecodes hispinarum for biological control of the Coconut Hispine Beetle (Brontispa longissima), as well as technical assistance to Cambodian authorities in devising an appropriate, effective bio-control program for the pest.
