The objectives of the project were to:

• Increase food production using environmentally friendly technique/innovations;
  
• Develop farmers' capacity to set up and manage farmer organization or self-help group and networks; and
  
• Increase income generation opportunities through building capacity to market their produce particularly through producer group or cooperative structures.
