The RVES Program and its projects operate in the districts of Khong, Paksong, Pathoumphone, and Bachieng, Champasack and Xanamxay, Attapeu to strengthen formal and non-formal education. Primary schooling is the first concern, and RVES builds schools, libraries, trains teachers and provides educational materials in the most remote and inaccessible parts of these three districts. Also of great concern is environmental sustainability. Non-formal education, training courses, vocational training and workshops are also conducted in areas of NRM, fisheries and agriculture, health and sanitation, NTFP collection and ethnic awareness and sensitivity.
