CIAT and CIP have improved varieties and production systems for beans, cassava, potatoes, sweet potatoes and fodder varieties ready to be evaluated. The adoption of these potential technologies, developed in collaboration with national partners in the region, was expected to lead to rapid increases in production and cash income. Improved forage systems have been developed for different soil, climate and farming systems.
