Project Information

The second phase of the Fisheries Sector Programme (FSPSII) started in 2006 and ran until 2010 with a grant of 245.7 million Danish Kroner or some US$44.7 million. FSPSII built on the experiences and activities from the first phase of the programme. It included the following four components:

• Strengthening of the Fisheries Administration
  
• Strengthening of Capture Fisheries Management
  
• Sustainable Development of Aquaculture
  
• Strengthening Capacities of Post-harvest and Marketing
  

Complementary Information

FSPS II aimed to increase the number of work opportunities for women and improve their life situation. All FSPS II activities included gender dimensions and seeked to enhance income earning opportunities for women.
