Each dollar will purchase a meal ($3,00/day, less than one Starbuck's specialty drink) for a visually impaired child in remote area in Vietnam. $100 will provide food, clothing, and minor health care for a child for two months. Blind Vietnamese Children Foundation has been supporting 310 children with visual impairment and blind children with additional disability throughout Vietnam since 2000.
These blind children, from poor families in Mekong delta, are brought to Vi Thuy Home for the Blind for a life with better care and education. Out of the nine children living in this warm shelter, there are four pairs of siblings. At home, they were undernourished, had no education or future, and many were locked up due to a stigmatization that their parents had been sinful.
Together, we can change these issues through education and a supportive and nurturing environment. Your generous donations will help religious sisters purchase foods and provide education, clothing, and medicine for these blind children.
These blind children will stay healthy, be rehabilitated, be educated, be integrated and live as independently and happily as much as possible.
